Putting the pilot inside was more difficult compared the the C840/UL. And I have other plans besides the cockpit mod. I'l be creating 2 drum magazines for the handguns to be attached at the back slots, and it doubles as the holders for the handguns too(check for my other posts to get what i means).
And for the paint scheme it'll be flat white with tons of weathering/ discoloration and faded markings like those rebel fighters from star wars.

The recycled knees was brought up once again in the HF forum. The knees look a little cheap. I think i can see some MSG option parts on the wings and arms too.

I'm quite sure theyre trying to save on manufacturing costs, but its unfair for the customers when we're paying ¥8,190 for a kit that has reused parts. But i think the size and the transformation justifies the price, compared the the CR-C06U5 Fascinator model which consists mostly of reused parts and costs ¥1000+ more than the average ac model.

i'm still glad that a seraph model was made, and the price wasn't as high as i expected.

Another opening/closing view of the canopy/ hatch.

The base of the neck has to be rebuilt.

Here's what it looks like from the inside. Without the external coverings, it barely holds itself together. I'm also going to add more internal details so as not to disappoint jehu once more.

So far this cockpit is coming along nicely. I think the real challenge will be the handgun Holders.

And speaking of cockpits...
Earlier i assumed that the CR-C06U5 core will have a cockpit. But it looks like it doesn't have one- when is saw the construction of a U5-Quad from this month's issue of Hobby japan.

This means i'm going to build a cockpit for the U5. I think the drawing of the U5 cockpit i found ages ago will come useful.

Non Fattal Error! (a beetle update)

Update April 08 2008

-Shortened those ears.
-Drilled holes in those ears.
-Tried to fix the cheeks.
-Triangulated the camera-thing on top of the head.
-Added the base for the eyes.

I didnt use referenced and now we make this!

It ended up losing half it's cheekbones because i glued those lower plates a little high. I only realized the mistake when i checked some of the references a few days ago. Its only 60-75% accurate but i like how it looks imo. It still needs some polishing and minor adjustments, and i need to create a decent neck.

If i get over my laziness and become successful with scratchbuilding, it'll open the gates of AC Hell! lies...

Update.

I hate those ears. I also feel like changing the frame. I want to build the CR-A98A2 heavyweight arms or the CR-LH99XS lightweight legs. If i build the XS legs then use foxeye's A72F, i'l end up with something close to the original tenderrrrz:

But Experience points is necessary-
i need to finish AC02 & AC03 before building those parts.

I'l be scratchbuilding a number of parts for this AC, starting with the H03-Beetle. And for it's weapons i plan to build shadow, gorgon and 75MT.

I began working on the head this afternoon, starting with a mock up model just to figure out it's size.

And the rest of the ACs i'm going to build.

i'm also going to remove my scans and images section since its becoming a bot magnet.
