If you are familiar with the V.I. line, you'll notice that they made the weapons slightly chunkier and bigger than their videogame counterpart. I'm doing the same with this WL15L-GRIFFON.

I've read a comment about this recent issue of dengeki hobby that starts to bug me atm. I'l go look for a copy tommorow, to silence the screams.
I was finally able to seal and remove the visible edges of the decal.
-What i did was apply the decal setter on the surface first, then positioned the decal. -When it dried, i brushed a small amount of decal setter on top. -After letting it dry, i sprayed several layers of clear coat. -When the coat completely dried up i sanded the surface with an ultra fine sanding film(FLEX-I-GRIT)until the decal leveled with the model's surface. -Sprayed a few layers of Flat top coat to finish the job.
And here's the result(check the image on the bottom left):
Edit: I just finished watching cloverfield. What can I say....... The movie was great, but sadly, it's too short. The "blair witch style" camera work realy does it's job of bringing a sense of realism. The experience is like playing a horror first person shooter game, only this movie does it better( that is, if the cinema has a good sound system).
And the monster? It does resemble one of those shown in youtube. It's a freak. But you probably wouldn't even care about the monster when you are watching the movie because blah blah blah i've said enough. Just go and watch the movie if you haven't. It's reeealy good.
-------------------------------------------------------------- I've decided to flip the painting, moving all the elements from the right to the left, making the whole picture work more effectively. Since most humans are used to reading from left to right, the viewer's attention is now directed immediately to the action or focal point of the image.
well i need to sleep early, i failed to catch the 11AM screening of cloverfield so im going to try my luck again tommorow. Most of the reviews i've read say that it's a good movie. It's one of those never been tried before type movies. never been tried before type.
I've begun working on my AC#3's weapons. I've chosen griffon instead of argos. Although agros is a decent left arm weapon, it also resembles a flashlight.
So there was zero turnout on the AC contest, mainly because we couldn't finish our kits before the deadline and also there are very few entries. I was in a hurry to get things done then i realized i overdid the drybrushing. In the last hours before the deadline i had to back out. I needed more time to work on this model. Here's the state of my model right now. And here's where the custom decals should go. It's a very small space, at around 1x1 cm. Not wearing gloves took it's toll on my fingers. I think my pinky lost it's fingerprint.
Moving on to other things, What's not to like about FSS? Maybe the bishonens, but everything else i like. I still have to find some english translations of the manga because it's pretty hard to follow with the japanese text. I also wanted to build some of those FSS kits but there's very few selections with the injection plastic kits. Maybe i'l try some FSS resin kits in the future..
